This was our 3rd year in a row assisting the New York Knicks promote their Poetry Slam Competition. Including the round trip travel from Detroit to the Big Apple, we only had 72 hrs to complete the project. Mindfield Director, John Anderson Beavers chose an aesthetic that could lend itself to these limitations. Spoken Word Artist Kased Ragin and locations were shot with a small HD camera (handheld, guerrilla style), and a two-man crew at various locations in NYC in one day. The project was shot, cut, color corrected, and delivered in time to play on Opening Day on the Madison Square Garden’s giant LED scoreboard. This spot also aired on the Madison Square Garden network. Directed, shot and edited by John Anderson Beavers.
