This was an extremely exciting project marking the global launch of the 3rd Generation Prius, one of the most anticipated vehicles for 2010. Four Hi-Def screens, all synced together to play six separate videos, controlled by an interactive seating mechanism. Mindfield worked in close conjunction with designers at George P. Johnson to generate the look and feel. Lead designer, Chad Thompson, was asked to integrate the Prius molecule motif of the physical show space into the animations. After a short period of design concepts, he quickly came up with the overall style of the final design shown here. We wrote the scripts, directed the talent, concepted and designed all the motion graphics (after precise measurements to guarantee that the screen mullion gaps were accounted for in design), sound designed, and textured, rendered, and animated the 3D vehicles. Each video was then subdivided from its overall working palette of 5500×768 pixels and delivered to programmers for the final interactive build.
